Spring & Summer Rewind

Our Spring and Summer have been, well...busy. Surprised!? It seems that is what I say every time I post 

(2 or 3x a year). But really that is what our life is. Time flies all too quickly and I find fewer moments to jump on here and update. Not to mention my handicap of working with blogger. So lets begin...

Here is our cute Landon, he was about 6 mos in this picture & now he is twice that, yup he is a yr now. But we will get to that later.

10 mos here. He is a climber, get-into-everything, curious, daring boy!

This summer we had a family reunion, probably like most of you! 

My kids liked the toys the cousins brought along.

For Pioneer Day we went to Spanish Fork to be with the Stilsons & the Lee family for Fiesta Days

Jeremy had to work on Pioneer Day, but we got home in time to do some fireworks as a family. Our neighborhood is pretty impressive with fireworks too. 

Landon picked Pioneer Day to take his first steps too. He was a little wobbly, but pretty determined. 

Johnson Mathey (Jeremy's work) had their Summer BBQ @ the zoo! 

The new Grizzly Bear exhibit was awesome! They were very active& fun to see!

The animals must have known that JM reserved the whole zoo that evening just for us. They were actually awake and moving, unlike most hot summer days.

Jeremy won this target at an archery contest, along with an oil painting. I tell him all the time that he is lucky. He definitely was this day. Hundreds of hunters were in for both drawings & he got two prizes!

Not many days passed without this being our nightly ritual. We don't have an AC-does that explain why?

Correction-We have an AC, it just isn't installed yet-but hopefully this weekend, now that the weather is cool. Perfect timing!

All worn out. I always wanted to see one of my kids fall asleep in the high chair. I was hoping with face down in spaghetti, but this is good enough. He was patiently waiting for me to be done with hair.

We had many days at the pool. Mainly Seven Peaks, but this was a spur of the moment trip to Magna pool & splash pad. Camryn & Brielle had a great time! They both liked to show us how they could swim underwater. That was one of Brielle's accomplishments this year. We are so proud of her!

Almost half a year Recap

I can't believe I have waited this long to post updates. I am a huge slacker. I do want to just say I have started to post before, but my computer pooped out on me or blogger-not sure who is to blame, but it didn't post or get saved. So here is the last 1/2 of the year recap. ( Lets see if I can do this before something or someone interrupts me-this ended up taking me 3 days to post).

Here is Landon's first Christmas. Brielle didn't want to cooperate for the picture.

Landon is quite our little tough guy. At 5 months he was pushing up to plank position. After a minute he would start to yell out. I assume because his abs were burning-I know mine would be!

He then learned how to get into the crawling position, but didn't move much.

Peek-A-Boo!

Brielle got a nasty cold at the first of the year. She had a dark red upper lip from wiping her nose so much. Unfortunately Landon got his first cold from her. Guess that is how things go. I didn't get a picture of him-he didn't even look sick.

Landon did start to move eventually but it was backwards. He would scoot back into the couch and then get stuck. He was still happy to be on the move though!

I discovered that I don't have many pictures of me with my kids, so I have started to take a few. Taking self portraits are tricky so there aren't too many that turn out the way I want them. This one was decent enough.

Brielle is 4!!!!

This year Brielle decided she wanted a Rapunzel birthday party & we were both very excited! She was excited about everything to do with a birthday party and I was excited about making her cake! I knew right away I wanted to do the Rapunzel's tower! I started to do research and finally came up with a mixed version of everything I saw. I'd have to say it turned out pretty good and Brielle loved it! Here is our little princess in her Rapunzel tiara that Jeremy bought for her, & of course a Rapunzel shirt to go with it. 

Landon slept threw most of the decorating and cake making! Thank heavens-otherwise it would have been a huge uncompleted mess!

We had family over for lunch and then friends joined us for cake & ice cream.

All the kids liked to look at the cake and the characters. These are two of Brielle's best playmates-Benson & Parker. They are brothers that live across the street.

Brielle & best friend Camryn. These girls are just 23 hrs apart. They almost shared the same birthday. 

Brielle's favorite present from her birthday... a scooter!!! & it's even hot pink! Thank heavens for cousin Weston who is like a big brother to Brielle. He always spoils her with anything she wants! Such a cool cousin! 

Brielle and Landon have become pretty good buds. Brielle loves to have him in her room so she can make him "dinner" and dress him up in her play clothes. He is a good sport most of the time. 

Brielle told me one day she needed to feed Landon 

"because I am the big sisser, Mom." So I decided to let her handle her duties...

 but Landon wasn't too excited. She did pretty good, but Landon's face had not a clean spot on it afterwards. Good thing he likes sweet potatoes!

Brielle is always excited to get out into the snow. She always has said she likes snow days better than hot days!? Definitely a daddy's girl!

Landon's first try at solid foods. Brielle's first was a pickle too! Feels so good on those sore gums! 

Landon is 7 months here. 

 Landon's first try at a sippy cup too. We only have girly cups so I went out and bought him a boy one the next day. He likes using the cups sister uses! ( Almost 8 mos.)

For Brielle's 4th birthday and Landon 7 months, I had their pictures taken. Of course the week was beautiful until the day when we went to take the pictures-it snowed the night before. We didn't get too many pictures of Landon, so here is one at home before we left. My friend Patrice was so nice to come and take the pictures for us. She did an awesome job!

  Grandma & Grandpa Stilson came to visit a few weeks ago and Landon just wanted to get a hold of Grandma's drink. He loves drinking from anyone's glass.

We have been doing a lot of work in our yard-removing trees and flower beds. Brielle was a good sport to just hang out while all the work was being done. By the end of the week we were all ready for a break, so we went to Liberty Park. It was a beautiful day so we all wore shorts & it was still April!

Her first time on a Ferris Wheel. She loved it! she made sure to tell everyone about it!

  Yesterday I asked my "big helper" to help me make cookies. She even helped crack the egg! After all the pouring, I spooned the dough and Brielle added the chocolate chips. They were really yummy pumpkin cookies!  We had such a good day dancing around the house, cleaning and baking!
