Spring has Sprung!...and here comes Summer!

I love this time of year! Perfect temperatures and the birds are chirping and everything is green and blossoming! Brielle wants to be outside all the time, so I started taking her out just after breakfast. Even when we are still in our jammies. We go for walks and lay on the grass and watch the "ducks," birds actually, but all birds are "ducks" to Brielle. She even quacks at them. It is so cute!! It is so fun and rewarding to be at home with her and enjoy all the new things she is discovering. I love being a mom!!!
Here she is making a funny face. She is so happy to be outside! Look at all those teeth!! She has 8 now and more on the way. She started to walk this past week. Getting to be a little daring. She still crawls for the most part-since she can get there faster that way. But she is very excited to walk from place to place.
Jeremy and I are just getting over spring colds, yucky!! And no, we have not been kissing any pigs. It has been so hard not being able to give Brielle kisses and cuddling with her. Even though I am still with her all day long, I miss being close to her. But I am very happy she has been cold-free!
Summer is just around the corner and our schedules are getting full already. Not that I am not excited for vacations, camping and other trips & activities, I just don't want to be so busy that Summer is gone before I have really been able to relax and enjoy it. I am going to really try to focus on taking it easy!! and taking lots of pictures!!

5K-Wish I was talking money!!

Jeremy, Weston & I along with Justin and Kim Turcsanski ran the Salt Lake City 5K yesterday morning. It was my first 5k and it turned out pretty good. We all did really well actually. It started at Washington Square (where the Justice of the Peace building is) at 7:30am. We ran South a block or so and then went West for another block and then came North up State Street. You know driving in a car you hardly notice the road is up hill, but running it you sure do. We turned West again at the top of 3rd South and headed towards the Union Pacific building. Thankfully that was down hill and we all knew that Gateway was just behind it, which is where our finish line was. There were a lot of people cheering as we came around the corner onto the main road thru the middle of Gateway. After you finished we got bananas and yogurt and milk and other goodies. It was Weston's and my first time running a 5K and we both agreed it wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. We may just try it again sometime.

Here are a few pics of the day. This picture is both cool and scary looking. Jeremy and Justin being rebels.Jeremy catching some air!!

Happy Easter & Springtime!!

I love this time of year when the tulips are coming out of the ground and the trees are budding and the warmer weather! Of course it also means spring clean up. Not always fun work to do, but I love how my house and yard looks afterwards. We had a good Easter, though it could've been better if Jeremy and I hadn't had to speak in sacrament. Glad it is over for hopefully another 3 years or more. Brielle got a new toy and clothes from the Easter Bunny this year. She loves this new car to ride around on and push too. It plays lots of music and has lots of buttons.
We took Brielle outside after church to get some pictures of her in her Easter dress. She loves to be outside and to find lots of leaves, sticks and acorns on the grass.

Here are Brielle's One Year pictures we had taken on Tuesday, her Birthday. We also celebrated the day by going swimming. I can't believe how grown up she looks in these photos! We had a hard time getting her to hold still and smile. She wanted to just talk her jibber jabber to the photographer. She had quite the story to tell that day! Obviously very excited it was her Birthday!

Happy Happy Birthday!!!

I know it has been forever since we have posted anything, but for the most part, life has been pretty much the same for us. That is until this past weekend when we celebrated Brielle's first birthday! We invited the family over for pizza and cake and had a really good time! I baked Brielle a puppy cake. She loves dogs! But when she saw the cake, she just kept barking at it, not eating it. Brielle is a very dainty little girl. She holds everything with her thumb and first finger. And that is how she ate her cake too. It took a while for her to eat it and everyone else wanted some too, so we cut her off a "leg" and let her go to town in her high chair. She got lots of great gifts and had a really fun time! She was worn out by the time everyone left. Thank you family for celebrating the perfect 1st Birthday with us.
