Conference get-away to sunny St. George

We were in need of a vacation! And we wanted to go somewhere warm. Brielle really wanted to see Mama & Papa in St. George, so we headed down for the weekend. It was so nice and really paid off!
Brielle was so happy to be in St. George! This pic is a little blurry but it shows her excitement & her new sunglasses.

We hiked on the red rocks above the Dixie sign.

Grandma Greenhalgh is always up for an adventure.

We went swimming at the Washington County Rec Center. Wish we had a pool like it by our house. Not sure what created these looks of surprise but it might have been the bad witch that Brielle says is everywhere. We've watched a little too much Snow White lately.

We flew kites! There was just enough wind outside my parents home to fly Brielle's little Ariel kite. On the last day there we went to the Mountain Meadow Massacre site and flew kites again. There was major wind there!! & the temperatures were in the 40's-very cold to be flying kites, but the site is in the mountains afterall.

Just a family shot of us on the red rocks again. It warmed up fast to around 87. Loved it!
We got home in time for another late winter snow storm and had 5 inches on our lawn. Poopy! We went from wearing shorts to coats again. Very depressing! Nice to know we always have a place to stay in sunny St. George anytime we need a warm up. Thanks Mom & Dad! We had a great time!

Evening out the Odds-It's a Boy!!!

Looks like Brielle is getting a little brother!! I am a few weeks late announcing, so unless you are in our ward and heard my husband (being a proud dad) announcing it over the pulpit during his talk 2 weeks ago, you are just now hearing the news. We are so excited to have a little boy, although it makes me a little nervous. I can handle girls now, but boys are a mystery. We had my friend Kelsey do an early ultrasound at 16 weeks to see what the gender was. It has always been fun having her do them, since she did it when I had Brielle too. & personally I think her pics are much more clear than those I get from my doctor (see below).
Clearly not a girl! & I am thinking he is going to be tall. I am already feeling him kick me on my sides close to my ribs-little early for that!

These next two were taken at my doctor's office at 18 weeks. Not as clear, but the little guy is a mover. He likes to flip flop back and forth to different positions. They were also able to get profile which wasn't accomplished at Kelsey's. I love seeing his little nose and mouth!
Today Jeremy said, "He is going to be lucky if he looks like me as a kid, because I was one cute little boy." So typical of Jeremy!
Brielle is warming up to the idea of a brother. In the last few days leading up to the ultrasound she was pretty set on a sister. Even the day we found out she said, "Mom, he is a sister." but she has also been telling me there are two babies. I think she will be very happy when he arrives and to have a brother. She won't have to share her toys!! -She'll thank me some day! Her two best friends (besides Camryn of course) are boys, so I think she'll be fine. She will be a cute little 2nd mother.
