Scandinavian Days & Memorial Camping

It wouldn't be Memorial Weekend if we weren't in Ephraim celebrating Scandinavian Days with the family. Here we are ready for the parade to start. The Espinoza family joined us for the festivities too. After the day at the park with surprisingly nice weather, we headed up the mountain for a weekend of camping!

Aurturo Jr, Mercy, Landon and Me

Willie the Clown is a definite if there is a parade!

Arturo Jr, Peter & Alex with a few of the vikings around town
Brielle snacking on some cheese and crackers while the bunch of us fished.

My kids are looking like they have never seen a fish out of water before-too funny!

Fishing with Daddy!

Brielle caught the biggest fish of the weekend on her little pink Barbie pole!

Landon and I kept busy eating licorice and blowing bubbles

The kids made fun trails for the balls to roll down our camp in. They were constantly rebuilding and finding fun ways to roll them down.

Looks like a weekend of camping wore these kids out!!
A quiet ride home
We're looking forward to hunting season where we can camp with the Espinoza family again.

It's not Summer without a little Slip N' Sliding!!

First visit from the Tooth Fairy

Brielle has had this loose tooth for quite some time now, but it didn't decide to come out until we headed to Spanish Fork for a day with the Stilson Family. We went down to see our niece Kemri play in her softball tournament. After the ball game we celebrated my father-in-law's birthday at Chuck-a-rama and then went back to Jeremy's sister's house to just hang out and give Jeremy's mom her Mother's Day gift. Lots of celebrating in that one day! Brielle was eating an apple and POP the tooth came out. It was really that quick and easy, thankfully!!! I am not a teeth person. I have dreaded having to pull my kids teeth since I became pregnant with Brielle. It is something that makes me squeamish! So I am really happy for that apple. Brielle on the other hand swears she will not eat another apple when she had a loose tooth again.
Because I knew this tooth was going to come out soon, I had done some research and found that a tooth pillow is the way to go. We'd hate to lose that tooth in her bed and have the Tooth fairy not able to find it! The Tooth Fairy gave her a congratulatory letter and a nice shiny $1 coin. Unfortunately...Brielle decided that all her friends at church the next day needed to see the $1 coin and lost in somewhere at church. Brielle didn't seem too upset (Surprisingly), but I wasn't so happy about it. Brielle is at a sweet age where money doesn't mean too much to her. She thinks emptying her piggy bank and sharing it with friends is a fun activity. We are working on that with her. Nice but we'd really like her to save it for something she'd really like to buy...or college :D!

Sunday afternoon picnic

~American Fork Canyon~

We headed up AF Canyon after church for a picnic and to get out of the city. It was nice to be in the mountains again and got us excited for camping this Summer.
Brielle and Landon love the great outdoors & gettin' dirty!
such cute friends!

love the ketchup mustache!

AWW!! Cute family!

nothing better than throwing rocks in the river!

Vegas visitors

Mike and Kimmy came to stay the end of April. We were able to help them get prepared for their little boy arriving early June. It was fun to have them stay and hang out with us too!
Landon loved just hanging out with Uncle Mike. He was helping Mike take down his crib. Landon switched beds so Mike could use our baby crib.

Mike & Kimmy treated us to a day at the Aquarium. Jonathan came along too!

Sad to say, but this is the only picture I got of the baby shower we threw for them. It was golf themed since Mike is a huge golfer. It was a great success with lots of friends and family there.
