So a week ago my Nephew Weston moved into our basement. He moved up from Ephraim and was able to get a job in the silver refinery at the same place I work. He has done really well his first week there and everyone keeps telling me how good of a worker he is.
So friday I left work a few minutes before him to go change my tires on my car, so he ended up getting home before me. And when he got here he noticed blood all over our driveway, in our car port on our back porch gate, everywhere. It was a lot of blood! He noticed my car wasnt here and thought the worst. Well, when I got home I could not believe how much blood there was. I noticed the animal control truck across the street. So I hurry and made sure it wasnt my dogs (they were ok), then I went to my neighbors where the officer was, and talked with them. An old man was walking his 2 little dogs down the street when a large german shepard down the street jumped its fence and went for the mans dogs. He tried to guard his dogs and the shepard knocked him down and continued at them. It just happened to be that there was a broken bottle right next to him, so he picked it up and swung it at the big dog, and cut the side of its face. Then the dog went over to my house and tried getting into my back yard with my dogs. It ran all around my yard and the neighborhood before the officer got to it. I guess the old guy is ok, and his little dogs were injured but ok too. I would be surpized if that big dog survived, but the officer said it was at the vet and was being taken care of. Anyway, I had a lot of blood to clean up. It was a pain to do, it was everywhere.
Yesterday was a great day on the slopes. Weston, me and Danny and Josolyn went to the Canyons snowboarding. It was sunny and warm, a perfect day. We spent most of our day on 9990, which is the altitude and highest point of the resort. It is a huge bowl with lots of powder. We were hitting a jump and practicing front and back flips. On my last front flip I landed hard on the back of my board and broke my binding. Not good, I am at the highest poing of the mountain and cannot ride down. I tried to ride with one foot for a while, but there was a lot of tree runs and I couldnt control it well. It would have taken me hours to get down the mountain. So I started walking. Luckly a resort worker saw me and radioed in for someone to pick me up. So I just had to walk a little farther to a bridge with a road for someone to pick me up. Anyway, other than that it was a great day at the canyons.

German Shepards can be pretty scary dogs, I got bitten in 2001 and had 120 stitches in my head to prove it. Good to hear your dogs were okay tho!!!

Wow! You lead an exciting life Jeremy! I feel bad for Weston coming across a scene like that! It was probably pretty scary. I'm glad everyone is doing good.

Hey, next time you guys are going to the Canyons why don't you let Tyler know? He paid for a season pass and hasn't gone once! Grrrr!

Come down sometime for a Guitar Hero night. You guys could all stay over, even Weston, we'd love to have you!
